Database Analyst

Toronto Retail Group (TRG) is the largest Mercedes-Benz retail group in Canada, comprised of six fully-fledged dealerships, a dedicated sales point, a dedicated passenger car service point, a dedicated Sprinter sales/service facility and a Vehicle Reconditioning Centre in the Toronto area. The Business Development Centre (BDC) Database Analyst supports the operational efficiency of TRG from within the Retail Operations group.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Maintain “Grounded Status” data sheet to ensure CCR’s have most up to date data when contacting customers
  • Pull lease and finance maturity customer data from OE and MBFS for BDC campaigns; create monthly lease and finance books for CCR’s that fairly distribute maturities by make and model
  • Manage Key2Key database and reporting; distribute data to CCR’s for finance customer contact (K2K loyalty program)
  • Compile and maintain monthly “Wrap-Up Report” data to measure incoming call volumes
  • Maintain monthly and quarterly TRG sales programs, loyalty programs, discount limits and incentives in OE
  • Maintain all other TRG-specific aspects of vehicle sales in OE including Dealer Options & Charges (Freight & PDI fees, admin fees, etc.) as required
  • Visit each TRG dealership on a monthly basis and work with retail GM/GSM/Sales Managers to reassign orphan customers as required
  • Pull customer lists as required for the BDC and Marketing teams
  • Provide reporting as required including:
    • Database status
    • CASL opt-in/opt-out status
    • New profiles comparison YoY/MoM
  • Liaise with Retail Planning & Strategy and MBC IT as required
  • Other duties as required by your local manager
  • Maintain all centralized database processes within TRG, including customer merging in OE, X-Time and CDK (including customer privacy settings, orphaned vehicles, historical name information to business contacts, etc.)
  • Clear the customer merge inbox and duplicate profiles in OE/CDK on a daily basis
  • Deploy email blasts through different platforms as required (events, newsletters, tactical sales emails, CASL emails) and action upon all undeliverable emails in OE, X-Time and CDK
  • Ensure rigid CASL compliance for the TRG group and be the subject matter expert for all CASL related topics
  • Support the TRG Marketing team with leads generated from offline and online activities, update customer privacy status as required; maintain back-up documents

Required Competencies:

  • Post-secondary diploma/degree in Business Management
  • Proven analytical mindset with strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Exceptional customer service skills with the desire to exceed customer expectations
  • Excellent administrative skills with the ability to multitask
  • Expert-level MS Excel product knowledge (pivot tables, macros, etc.)
  • Proficiency in MS Office, ONE-EIGHTY, CDK, MB Advantage, Key2Key, Medallia and X-Time preferred
  • The ability to effectively respond to and meet the needs of a diverse client base
  • Valid G driver’s license with clean driving record
