What are we looking for?

As a Business System Analyst at eSentire, you’ll be supporting to help scale our operations. You’ll be analyzing multiple systems and processes the eSentire currently has. You should be a master craftsperson, with an understanding of all of the Business Systems Analyst fundamentals and exceptional business sense. Relationships will be key, as things move quickly at eSentire, and you’ll need to build mutual trust to assist in gathering our true needs.

Responsibilities:
Analyze and document current process/workflows

Document various corporate tools and systems each functional business group is using and establish commonalities or dependencies.

Create analysis documentation that outlines current business process and systems that are core to eSentire business.

This may include documenting requirements for various business groups

Help to establish future state business needs via flowcharts or data models, keeping business groups needs in mind

Work with potential external vendors when assessing tools/workflows. Assist in creating build vs buy and cost/benefit analysis with Project Management

Identify ways to more effectively leverage the technology for various corporate business groups and what system will fulfill the needs

Work in conjunction with Project Management and Technical Writing on preparing documentation/procedure for introduction of new or modified systems or processes

Collaborate as a team member to create and maintain accurate systems and process documentations

Ensure that user requests are continuously tracked as a means of identifying common problems that may require a global solution as it pertains to eSentire corporate needs. Requirements:

To succeed, you’ll need to love a fast pace, believe that big things are possible and know that you’re only as good as your team. Specifically, we’re looking for:

Analytical skills, data mapping and analysis capabilities via flow charts – documenting and evaluating required data and information

Ability to effectively facilitate meetings, and to negotiate consensus from cross-functional teams

Excellent ability to articulate and document technical concepts on many levels- modify approach as required for differing audiences

Ability to translate business requirements into technical needs

Ability to identify opportunities to solve business problems and improve processes

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Proficient in Visio or other similar tools

Ability to efficiently handle multiple projects and deliverables

Fast paced, changing working environment- exposure to agile/scrum development Preferred Skills

Resourceful, strong tolerance to ambiguity, excellent capacity for applied and independent learning.

Proven leadership, organization, relationship building and problem solving skills

Ability to negotiate and influence others
