In the position of Mechanical & Electrical Manager we would ask you to do the following:
- Plan the mechanical and electrical components of a construction project and prepare a construction schedule in conjunction with the Project Superintendent and the Project Manager
- Prepare regular, timely and accurate billings for the mechanical and electrical components of the job, and assist the Project Manager to ensure timely payment of subcontractor billings
- Monitor, in conjunction with the Superintendent, a project’s material and labour costs for mechanical and electrical components and assure accurate quality reporting is being conducted
- Assist the Project Manager by leading project meetings, determining the status of the job in terms of scheduling, costing, and solving complex technical issues
- Provide direction during functional performance testing of all mechanical and electrical systems
- Review mechanical and electrical changes received from the architect to ensure they are complete and up to standard and also review subcontractor prices on these changes

- You have a construction related degree/diploma and five to six years of mechanical and electrical construction experience or an equivalent combination of technical training and experience
- Working knowledge of scheduling, project management and contract software
- You have the ability to proactively identify and document any problems/conflicts and effectively manage and resolve them
- Must have great oral and written communication skills
