Senior Software Developer – Java
As a member of the Algo Aggregation development team, you will participate in the design, development, and support of several Java applications. These applications help users make financial decisions and assess risks such as market and credit risks. Your success will be measured by your contribution to the success of the product, to effectively combine your creativity with discipline required to assure stability and performance, and to effectively communicate with other members of the team as well as internal and external clients.
This role will involve working with technology that is covered by embargo Export Regulations. If you are a Foreign National from any of the following embargoed countries (Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Sudan, and Syria) on a work permit, you are not eligible for employment in this position.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
At least 5 years of Java development experience.
Experience with concurrency, design patterns and performance tuning.
Experience with best practices for code quality.
Can work alone and in a team in a fast-paced development environment.
Take creative approaches to problem solving, innovation and issue resolution.
Superior interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to collaborate actively and proactively with others in a cross-functional, cross-geography team.
Self-motivated and self-managed with a strong analytical ability and curiosity.
Exceptional attention to detail and code quality.
Committed to delivering under time constraints.
Degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematical Finance or equivalent.
Preferred Tech and Prof Experience
Knowledge of financial applications/industry an asset.
