We’re creating a meaningful environment to help merchants grasp new member information anytime and anywhere, and help users feel a safe, smooth and useful membership experience.

About the Role

We’re looking for an HR Generalist who is enthusiastic, dynamic, and detail-oriented to help support our team as we continue to scale.

What you will do:

Recruitment (40%)

  • Conduct full-cycle recruitment- job postings, (phone) interviews, reference checks and in-person interviews
  • Build pipeline and talent maps of top talent through researching, direct sourcing/headhunting and networking (inbound and outbound)
  • Keen interest in learning the skills of “direct sourcing/hunting”
  • Pre-qualify, assess and evaluate candidates
  • Liaise with candidates and interviewers to schedule interviews (book rooms, send invites/confirmations, etc.)
  • Develop and maintain job descriptions and job postings
  • Develop and maintain applicant information in HR Database; update ATS
  • Draft and extend employment offers to successful candidates
  • Effectively manage a high volume of open roles and candidates with minimal direction

Human Resources (25%)

  • Maintain overall efficiency by providing support to the HR team in the maintenance, administration and communication of policies, procedures and initiatives
  • Apply sound judgment in directing people inquiries appropriately, escalating and resolving requests adhering to team mandates
  • Prepare new employee files, coordinate and conduct onboarding activities for new employees
  • Develop and coordinate employee onboarding process, communicate and collect payroll information, integration, and participate in the probationary review process
  • Maintain all documentation related to employee contract fulfillment, employee events and separations; prepare termination documentation
  • Support Employee Relations activities as needed
  • Develop specialist knowledge of practical Employment Law and a further understanding of generalist HR as well as increasing understanding of the wider business
  • Advise of leaves of absence and separations.
  • Assist with HR-related project work where required
  • Assumes role of “super user” for all supporting HR technology
  • Maintain advanced level of confidentiality and professionalism

Performance Management (25%)

  • Communicate the company’s mission and values to its customers and employees
  • Clearly define the work expectations of each position and communicate to everyone for ensuring success in the achievement of business goals and facilitating an overall performance improvement
  • Keep the employee informed about their progress towards the achievement of goals and suggest corrective actions for non-achievement of performance
  • Establish a shared belief amongst the employees regarding the importance of continuous improvement in performance

 

Office Administration (10%)

 

  • Coordinate office activities and operations to secure efficiency and compliance with company policies
  • Manage agendas/travel arrangements/appointments etc. for upper management
  • Manage phone calls and correspondence (email, letters, packages etc.)
  • Track stocks of office supplies and place orders when necessary

Who you are:

  • 2+ years experience in recruitment and/or human resource experience
  • Interpersonal skills and ability to communicate professionally and ability to speak knowledgeably about the company and answer any questions a potential hire may have
  • Experience in the continual development of talent pipelines and sourcing potential candidates
  • Impeccable attention to detail is an absolute must
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and high-pressure situations
  • Exceptional time management, and multitasking capability. You thrive in an environment of uncertainty and change.
  • Self-starter that is comfortable working with menial oversight and tight deadlines
  • Possess a “Do What it Takes” attitude to get the job done
