Job Summary
Kraun Electric is looking for an experienced Accounting Administrator to assist in managing our day-to-day accounting and finance requirements. Confidentiality, excellent organizational skills and accuracy are important qualifications for this position, as well as good customer relations and the ability to communicate clearly. The ideal candidate for this position is a skilled multi-tasker, is reliable and is committed to consistently meeting deadlines.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Full-cycle accounting duties
- Conduct weekly and monthly bank reconciliations
- Conduct month end procedures and produce in-house financial statements
- Remit per government requirements (i.e. EHT, WSIB, Source, Corporate, HST)
- Monitor assets and required amortization
- Calculate and issue analysis of financial statements
- Calculate budget variances and report to management
- Maintain chart of accounts and financial statement set-up
- Provide information to external accountant/auditors as required
- Contract invoicing
- Accounts Payable
- Payroll
Qualifications and Skills
- Very strong with Microsoft Excel and other Office programs
- Excellent communication skills, both written & verbal
- Strong organizational skills
- Strong accounting understanding
- Background screening includes previous employment, education and criminal history
- Education from a recognized bookkeeping/accounting program
