In the role of as an Analyst, Market Intelligence the incumbent will act as a point of contact to provide the general understanding of the overall CSA Group business including macro environment, market and technology trends, as wells as analytics. They will provide support to the manager in interpretation and presentation of market and consumer/customer research data to the organization to feed the strategic and tactical decision making at CSA Group. Collecting, organizing, maintaining market intelligence data and ensures effective dissemination of market information.
Responsibility:
Delivering assigned secondary research for 1-2 written reports in support of CSA strategic objectives
– monthly
Supporting primary research projects e.g. designing and monitoring of surveys
Publishing a weekly newsletter covering the domain of TIC and Standards, under the established guidelines and within the approved format – weekly
Maintaining the Market Intelligence page on CSA Connect: uploading relevant documents, responding to requests for information, maintaining the file structure, and maintaining the portfolio of documents in Box application – daily activity
Responding to ad – hoc requests for information
The incumbent will provide support to the manager in developing and delivering global market intelligence business analysis and competitive data for all CSA Group business functions, including: business expansion analysis to identify growth opportunities
Competitive landscape analysis and competitor monitoring
Industry landscape review and industry structure
Mergers and Acquisitions analysis and screening
Support in maintaining, updating and populating the Market Intelligence page on CSA Connect, using secondary and primary content
Develop and publish a weekly newsletter covering the news of the TIC industry
When assigned, carry out secondary research, present and distribute findings
As part of Market Intelligence team participate in cross functional teams
Communicate, network and collaborate with CSA Group staff globally, across geographies and time zones
Support the development of business plans, including financial models
Source and analyze numeric data, develop and implement data visualization projects
Support qualitative and quantitative market research projects, with planning, facilitation, analysis of data as assigned
Education:
A degree from an accredited post-secondary institute (preferably in marketing, business, finance, information science, communications or similar) and an interest in technology
Experience:
2-5 years of work experience in marketing, market research and/or, consulting, industries
Skills:
Demonstrated ability to think analytically and creatively, utilizing strategic analysis skills and a variety of analytical models;
Demonstrated ability to develop market insights from disparate sources and translate them into relevant strategic and tactical business recommendations;
Market research competency/understanding;
Excellent written and verbal communication skills – communicates effectively and professionally;
Strong planning, organizational and prioritization skills;
Fluency in strategy/market intelligence terminology and concepts;
Keen interest in sharing information in a concise and accessible format, e.g. data visualization, info-graphics
