About the Position
The Project Management Team within Brookfield’s Private Funds Group is seeking an Analyst with a minimum of 2 to 4 years of financial services, private equity consulting or private equity fund-of-funds related experience. The candidate will report to the head of project management and be a part of the team that provides project management services to Brookfield’s private equity, credit and special opportunities businesses. This position is located in Toronto.

The Brookfield Private Funds Group is comprised of a global team of over 60 professionals located in North America, Europe, Australia and Asia. The primary focus of the Private Funds Group is to market Brookfield’s private funds to institutional investors worldwide.
The Private Funds Group is part of Brookfield Asset Management Inc., global alternative asset manager focused on real estate, infrastructure, and private equity with over $250 billion of assets under management. Brookfield has a global reach with local presence in key markets, including New York, Toronto, São Paulo, London, Sydney, Hong Kong, Mumbai and Dubai. Brookfield has an established private funds platform in which it has raised approximately $85 billion, including $27 billion from Brookfield, since 2001.
Responsibilities
Assist to develop and execute on a marketing strategy tailored to the evolving private equity platforms
Conduct private equity industry, investor, and competitor research (both qualitative and quantitative)
Coordinate road shows, conferences and investor meetings
Create and update general and fund-specific marketing materials, such as offering memorandums, investor presentations, fact sheets and other documents related to private investment fundraises
Manage investor activity and prepare target lists for co-investment opportunities
Update consultant and industry databases quarterly and/or annually, as required
Respond to investor information requests, such as RFPs and due diligence questionnaires
Support the global client relationship management team as needed
Requirements
Undergraduate degree with an excellent academic background
Minimum 2 to 4 years of experience in financial services, private equity consulting or private equity fund-of-funds
Team player with positive attitude and pro-active approach to work
Ability to coordinate and work alongside a cross functional team
Ability to multi task, prioritize and work in a fast-paced environment under tight deadlines
Self-motivated individual with a high level of attention to detail
Very strong writing skills
Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint and Excel)
Analytical and quantitative skills and comfortable with financial concepts
Strong interpersonal skills, and ability to build relationships and work with professionals around the organization
