Barista and Server (Full-time position only)

Baristas/Servers – It’s a stage for a friendly team to provide our customers a personalized experience.

The Roles:

• Provide friendly, and personalized customer service in a clean and welcoming environment.
• Introduce drinks menu to customers and answer questions
• Help customers select food by presenting menu; suggesting courses; explaining the chef’s specialties; answering food preparation questions
• Stay updated on current menu choices, specialties and menu deviations, knowing if the kitchen staff is running out of any items, etc.
• Preparation for drinks according to in-house recipes
• Prepare tables by setting napkins and utensils
• Maintain table setting by removing courses as completed; replenishing utensils; refilling water glasses; being alert to patron spills or other special needs
• Perform basic cleaning tasks as needed or directed by supervisor
• Follow proper safety and sanitation procedures
• Clean and maintain all equipment
• Keep kitchen staff informed by noting the timing of meal progression
• Serve orders by picking up and delivering orders from the kitchen.
• Obtain revenues by totaling charges; issuing bill; accepting payment; returning change or credit card and signature slip to patrons
• Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
• Provide welcoming phone greeting and following guest ordering procedures
• Convey menu information over the phone to guests and give an accurate estimate of delivery time

Requirements:

• High School diploma
• Some knowledge to converse in Mandarin and/or Cantonese
• Retail or previous food serving related experience is an asset
• Ability to actively listen and verbally communicate with a wide range of people daily
• Keen awareness of the value of customer service
• Aptitude for learning in on-the-job in a fast-paced environment
• Must be legally employable in Canada
• Able to work at Nighttime

Physical Demands:

• Able to stand for a period of time, resting is permitted
• Able to occasionally lift and carry up to 25lbs

• High school or equivalent

Wage :$14.00 /hourly
