Job Description
We are looking for a Business Analyst to provide support within the Philips Canada.
This position will be in our Corporate office located in Markham, Ontario
In this role, you have the opportunity to:
Work with our dynamic Philips Healthcare team by supporting data management activities and collaborating with internal partners to enhance the integrity of our data warehouses as well as assist and support the leadership team on various continuous improvement projects
You are responsible for (but not limited to):
Drive efficiency gains from consolidation of reports across Health Services within the organization
Reduction of time committed to producing data products, Reports & PowerPoint slides
Data compliance and management
Promote guiding principles of data management (Agility, Governance, transparency, and accuracy
Communicate complex ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences
Champion change through business initiatives provided by your manager
Assess the various data collection workflows
Determine optimal information and data storage medium/ solutions
Transform and normalize data into business insights
Design impactful data products for end users
Identify and implement appropriate data distribution options
To succeed in this role, you will have the following skills and experience
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Analytics, Data Science or related discipline
Minimum 2 years of experience with database design, data concepts, and database design applications; MS SQL)
Broad knowledge of healthcare industry and sales cycles
Exposure to SSMS, Tableau, PowerDB, SAP Business Warehouse, and/or SalesForce.com an asset
Ability to learn quickly in house business systems such as; SAP MP1
Must exhibit solid critical thinking and decision-making abilities as demonstrated through relevant work experience
Understanding of SQL, relational database structure, and RDBMS
High energy, strong sense of urgency, self-motivated and results-oriented
Exhibits constant behavior of intellectual curiosity
Lean Experience is an asset
Methodical and result oriented with the ability to prioritize tasks and goals
Effective task management skills and ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and escalations
Proficiency with MS Office applications, particularly MS Excel (an understanding of VB is an asset)
Ability to identify opportunities for improvement, resourceful, shares best practices and provides recommendations for doing things
