We are looking for a Business Analyst / System Consultant for Plastic Mobile’s Toronto office with suitable qualifications and experience to join our dynamic and passionate team in an IT development environment. Responsibilities:
- Assist with the interaction between Business Clients and key decision makers to understand industry trends, to define the business model, business objectives and drivers, and to articulate business needs, opportunities and requirements.
- Document and update business requirements for traditional project needs and translate business requirements into accurate user stories, use cases, and process flows for Agile project needs with precise and precise acceptance criteria to be used by development and QA team.
- Support and build out the technical roadmap for the Mobile App portfolio by understanding the overall solution for the Mobile App Service strategy.
- Gather and document regulatory and business requirements, translate these into precise solution requirements and oversee the implementation of these requirements through the entire project lifecycle including testing and quality assurance.
- Ensure written documentation is clear, understandable, audience appropriate and accurately captures the key information required for a quality solution that meets business needs.
- Work with the system and its users to test the implementation, achieve signoff, and continue to move the project toward go-live.
- Ensure potential issues are tracked and escalated in a timely manner
- Contribute to the preparation of the business case, scope and estimates for projects working with the Project Manager to develop the project plan.
- Perform User acceptance testing through development lifecycle
- Create models, specifications, diagrams, and charts to provide direction to technical team members.
Requirements:
- University Degree (preferably in computer science, Engineering or Information Technology)
- +3 years of Technical Delivery or Solutioning Experience in Mobile technologies.
- Must have a minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Business Analyst or Systems Analyst.
- In-depth experience with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio) .
- High level of proficiency demonstrated in a business environment with the last 3 years in the following:
- Excellent knowledge of the iPhone and Android Platforms
- Preferably: Mobile First Development environment
- Agile Development (Scrum)
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks, operate under pressure, and meet deadlines.
- Detail-oriented, organized, flexible, highly-motivated team player
- Mobile/Logical problem-solving approach, ability to clearly communicate business problems and proposed solutions to the client.
- Create User Stories & Acceptance Criteria for compelling features.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to present in a group setting.
