This position will be located in Toronto, Canada and will report directly to the Senior Manager, IT Wealth Management, FIS Application and IT services, National Bank Trust. The Chief Analyst will work the Global Plus project and support teams on daily basis to successfully achieve the project deliverables and support existing production.
Mandates:
Act as a strategic IT Analyst with our business partners.
Understand business issues, identify stakeholders’ needs, suggest and implement strategies and IT solutions, considering the varied nature of files in order to support the completion of projects related to the implementation of Global Plus.
Provide IT application support to team members and business units.Carry out various projects and mandates within the Global Plus project that have a major impact on the Bank’s profitability and efficiency.
Develop innovative systems and approaches related to process automation and optimization.
Interact with managers and different sectors of the Bank to offer your expertise in complex files related to the Global Plus application.
Coordinate the needs of various projects that require the integration, consumption and visualization of data based on ad hoc requests.
Ensure the delivery of a solution that adequately meets business needs and is aligned with the target architecture of Global Plus.
Conduct functional analyses to support solutions.
Support business lines and IT throughout the various steps to carry out mandates.
Collect, document and analyze information in order to validate and prioritize the business needs of the client and all stakeholders and make sure that they are in line with the Bank’s strategic orientations.
Carry out various analyses (context, issues, impacts, functional, non-functional, informational, processes, business rules) to produce a diagnostic on gaps between the current and target situation.
Qualifications:
A completed bachelor’s degree in a related area of activity plus seven years’ relevant experience, or a completed master’s degree in a related area of activity plus five years’ relevant experience
At least five years’ experience as a Chief Business Analyst
Solid knowledge of Global Plus (must), IT environments (infrastructures) and/or the sector’s business
Experience in business diagnostics
Experience in business process management
Experience in change management
Experience in data management
Sound knowledge of the banking or financial industry
Highly proficient at strategic thinking and vision, analysis and synthesis, oral and written communication
Ability to work as part of a team and facilitate decision-making
Ability to present and participate in strategic and executive committees
