As a consulting firm Alithya undertakes a wide variety of technically challenging and interesting projects, and therefore your exact responsibilities will vary. Our clients are typically from technology departments belonging to large firms, and each project is typically 6 months to 2 years in duration. When not on assignment, you will be working in our Toronto office assisting with in-house products and solutions where you will report directly to the VP of Consulting Services in the Financial Sector. As an architect, you will be required to work with both clients and/or Alithya employees and to act in the capacity of a trusted advisor as it relates to architecting cloud solutions. We are looking to hire full time employees.
Typical day :
Design cloud-based solutions including giving expert advice to internal and external project teams on cloud solution architecture. This includes providing recommendations on products, services and patterns as well as technical guidance in the use of these products, services and patterns;Work in a client-facing, leadership role focused on architectural design;Present design ideas to fellow team members and seek consensus on solutions;Work with security to deploy and manage resources securely;Assist with the implementation of solutions and provide oversight to others performing implementation.

Ideal candidate
Ability to be comfortable in client facing environments, to be results driven, take ownership of tasks, and make things happen;5+ years of software development experience including proven experience developing solutions in a cloud environment;Knowledge of design patterns and performance boosting of cloud solutions;Extensive experience with at least two different cloud computing platforms including Microsoft Azure, operating systems, deployment automation tools, environments, database technologies, programing languages, and communication protocols;Experience automating the deployment of cloud infrastructure, and expertise in achieving maximum automation of tasks within the cloud;Experience in structured methodologies for the design, development, and implementation of applications;Experience in the use of development tools and other software tools such as project management software and business re-engineering software;Knowledge of performance considerations in different environments;Awareness of emerging IT trends and directions.Our perk and benefits
