Front End Software Developer

The ScribbleLive Engineering team is growing! We are seeking Software Engineers with a passion to design, build and support scalable cloud-based applications being taken to the next level.

The ideal candidate is a strong Front End Software Developer who knows how to get things done. You’re comfortable with the latest infrastructure, database and web development technologies, are always looking for ways to bring efficiency and stability to a code base and application.

Responsibilities:
Be an integral part of the ScribbleLive Engineering team to develop new features.

Participate in standups, technical brainstorming, design and planning meetings for everything from new features to testing to deployment configuration.

Help define, implement, and maintain code quality standards across the team.

Bring exciting new ideas and technology to help form the future of our products.

Qualifications:
Fluent in ES6 and ES5, HTML5

Fluent in React, Redux, Flux

Writing good tests (we primarily use Jest) however knowledge of Mocha, Chai, Sinon are welcome

Advanced CSS knowledge including CSS Grids, Flexbox, SVG, animations

Fluent in Git, branching, merging and working with develop, staging and master

Experience creating reusable component UI libraries

Build Tools: Webpack (ninja level), Gulp & Grunt (familiarity)

Progressive Web Application (PWA) to create Offline first Mobile Web Applications: App Shell, Service Workers, manifest

Experience with NPM

Nice to have

CSS Modules, CSS in JS such as styled-components

Experience with Node

Comfortable working with ESlint and Prettier

Knowledge of typescript and/or flow

Continual learning, should be on top of new web development skills. Possibly played with technologies such as webgl, canvas, webRTC etc

Familiarity with Server Side Rendering (SSR) of React Components using Next.js or from scratch

Familiarity with Learna or Yarn’s workspace to create Mono repositories

Basic understanding of Docker (images, containers) and kubernetes

Basic understanding of AWS (S3 to upload files, ECS to deploy code to)

Experience working in an Agile SCRUM development cycle
