As a Full Stack Developer for our Toronto headquarters, you will engineer responsive web, tablet web and mobile web browser based applications and sites. You’ll be required to architect, code, debug problematic code, as well as execute general troubleshooting and problem-solving. You’ll work alongside our talented project managers, engineers and designers to create award-winning properties.
Responsibilities:
– Develop and build marketing and business-oriented websites
– Architect, code and debug problematic code
– Working with and debugging on mobile devices (smartphones, tablets)
– Follow and implement creative designs and experiences
– Build against popular Web frameworks and APIs
– Execute general troubleshooting and problem solving
Desired Skills:
- 3+ years demonstrated development experience with hand-coding advanced HTML, CSS,and JavaScript (specifically with JQuery framework)
- 3+ years experience developing web applications using Java, both front and back-end development
- Strong expertise in JSP, J2EE, Eclipse and web hosting technologies
- MUST have experience with PHP, Python, RoR
- Experience with Bootstrap and Node.js
- Familiarity with MVC
- Experience with HTML5 that use external API calls
- Experience in working within a team environment
- Experience with GAE and Django is an asset
- Proficiency with cross-browser/cross-platform issues, DOM and web standards
- Experience working in a Mac or Unix environment
- Experience with parsing / writing XML, JSON
- Comfortable with OO programming
- Familiar with source code control systems
- Familiar with web-based testing and QA processes
- GUI design experience
- Experience with AJAX
