The Nitty Gritty:
Big Viking Games is looking for a part-time Government Relations Analyst to join our growing Finance team at our Toronto, ON studio.

The Duties:

  • Proactively conduct research and analysis on market opportunities with respect to government grants or fundings
  • Act as liaison and work with various stakeholders to obtain requirements and identify revenue opportunities; flag issues that might have a negative impact, formulate recommendations, insights and action plan
  • Create supporting documentations, materials and presentations for internal and external stakeholders
  • Own and project manage grant and funding initiatives from start to finish
  • Ad hoc requests for data analysis, external presentations, competitive tracking, financial reporting

The Essentials:
Must Haves:

  • University degree in public policy, public relations, political science, communications, business, or a related field, or combination of education and relevant experience.
  • At least 1 years of experience in a related role.
  • Previous experience with obtaining grants or funding or collaborating with the government would be an asset.
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly adapt, maintain focus, and with a high degree of accuracy while working with complex data under considerable deadline pressure.
  • Demonstrated ability to think analytically and creatively, utilizing strategic skills.
  • Excellent communication skills (oral, written and presentation) – communicates effectively and professionally.
  • Strong research and writing skills.
  • Strong planning, organizational and prioritization skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with people at all levels, both internally and externally.

Nice to Haves:

  • Expertise in MS Excel (creating spreadsheets and using advanced formulas) and Powerpoint
  • Familiarity with SAGE, Quickbooks, and other accounting software
