Role: Junior Business Analyst (New Grads)
Status: Full Time
Reports to: Director, Business Project Delivery
Division: Enercare Home and Commercial Services
Location: Birchmount Office (Markham)
As a member of the Project Deliver team within the Home Services Operations, the Jr. Business Analyst will be responsible for gathering and documenting requirements, mapping the current and future state process maps, providing project coordination, developing test strategy and executing user acceptance testing. The resource will also be responsible for creation of project charters, and change management plans for quality and communications and training
Accountabilities:
- Work with all stakeholders and establish productive and trustful relationship with them
- Gather and document detailed functional and non-functional requirements from stakeholders
- Document current and future environment states and process maps
- Document the project deliverables consistent with the company’s PM Framework
- Participate in risk, issue assessment and lesson learned recording
- Prepare procedural documentation and end user training material, process maps and track documentation
- Manage document control process
- Maintain schedule of meetings
- Prepare meeting presentations (PowerPoint) as requested
- Consult with stakeholders to understand the line of business and/or risk objectives, translate business requirements into development tasks, and ensure alignment of priorities
- Identify issues and propose solutions
- Assist in the documentation of procedures, control processes, and policies relevant to internal controls
- Engage with end-user groups to provide support as needed
- Participate in user acceptance testing
Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree in Business
- Exemplary record of achievement in school both academically and in extracurricular activities
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to work with others effectively in teams
- Demonstrated experience and interest in facilitation
- Proven analytical skills with ability to tackle problems systematically to determine causes and produce effective solutions
- Strong technical proficiency in MS Office applications; specifically MS PowerPoint, MS Excel and MS Word
- Situational sensitivity and self-awareness
- Highly organized and detail-focused, able to synthesize information and present it back in an articulated fashion
- Comfortable working in an ambiguous environment with competing deadlines and rapidly evolving client needs and conditions
- Naturally curious and inquisitive
- Good presentation skills with solid communication capabilities and practices, both oral and written
