The main focus of this position is Accounts Receivables. This position is responsible for processing confidential transactions from the Retail Stores as well as managing these transactions for timeliness, accuracy and compliance. In addition, this role is the main point of contact and support for Accounts Receivables related inquiries from the Retail Stores.
Responsibilities:
• Review and manage Cash Reports and postings of cash reports to Financial Statements
• Complete month end Retail journal entries
• Review and control Retail Balance Sheet Accounts, including Bank Reconciliations and A/R reconciliations
• Coordinate and complete vendor setup with Shared Services Centre Team in the Philippines
• Produce monthly Excel reports based on Sales volume
• Print customers statements, close the A/R module in ADP for month end, and perform monthly Accounts Receivables and other related Reconciliations
• Perform Quarterly A/R write-off reporting
• Prepare and book journal entries related to A/R and transfers from Head office to Retail or vice versa
• Coordinate process improvements and implementation in MBC Retail
• Assures adherence to standard accounting practices and procedures
• Establishes and maintains internal control of procedures
• Key Support role for the Manager Retail Accounting
• Work on special projects as necessary and assigned
Requirements:
• Accounting Diploma and working towards an Accounting designation
• Working experience with Accounts Receivables and strong understanding of A/R functions
• Strong understanding of computerized Accounting systems, ADP a definite advantage
• Good interpersonal skills
• Able to communicate with all levels of staff and management along with excellent customer service skills
• Good working knowledge of general office computer software and excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
