In this role as an Assistant Manager, Operational Control, U.S. GWO member of U.S. Operational Controls team (scope includes Equity and Fixed Income Cash trading, Prime Brokerage, Primary Dealer, Trade Finance and Payments)
supporting both Bank and Broker-Dealer businesses in the U.S.Responsible for Operational Risk oversight of U.S. Operations.
Proactively manage the control environment in compliance with regulations, internal policies and procedures.
 

Is this role right for you? You will be repsonsible for:

Work with Settlements team Managers and Toronto Op Control colleagues to make sure breaks are actioned.
Work with teams supporting correct static data capture (Client Onboarding, Static Data Middle Office). Process daily Returned Mail.
Support U.S. Operational Control team Managers on month-end requirements, account substantiation and control packages.
Provide support to Management for audit and regulatory engagements.
Ability to produce Management presentations (for Board or Operating Committees, as needed) and KPI/KRI data points.
Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions. Work with Managers to ensure that Policies are communicated to Line Managers and successfully implemented.
Establish good working relationships with Managers across U.S. Operations, Operational Risk, Finance and Compliance colleagues, and Toronto Ops Control team.
Do you have the skills you need to succeed? We’d love to work with you if you have:

2-4 years of relevant experience in a Control-related function (reconciliations, control testing, break resolution, or similar Audit/Compliance experience).
Strong data skills (Excel, Visio, QlikView), and ability to work with Line Managers to effectively present data.  
Detail oriented, with an ability to complete evidence packages that meet requirements of auditors and external regulators.
Knowledge of FINRA Broker-Dealer regulations is helpful, but not required. The successful candidate will be sponsored for the Series 99 exam.
