In this role, you will act as a senior developer for Cash PB platform in PCMFT group. This involves working with business stake holders and vendor in developing and designing solutions for Cash PB platform. This is a hands-on development role that will require the candidate to develop solutions on Scotias PSDI framework. This will provide the candidate with extensive opportunity to interact directly with Cash PB traders in Toronto and NYC.
Is this role right for you? You will be responsible for:
Working as a senior developer for Cash Prime Brokerage system with a strong sense of ownership for system stability and capacity
Working closely with business stakeholders in the Prime Service business in understanding business requirements, and work closely with vendor for deliverables.
Working closely with vendor and Cash PB team on development items for deliverables
Working with production support & software vendor teams in providing day-to-day support of Cash PB transaction processing system
Analyzing and understanding the deliverables as per business needs and work on the allocated development tasks based on priority
Working closely within the BA/Dev team and QA team as part of system testing
Do you have the skills you need to succeed? We’d love to work with you, if you have:
A Bachelor of Science degree
Experience with Cash Prime Brokerage systems
A strong understanding of SOA architecture, database design
A hands on experience in writing SQL queries, database designs on databases such as Oracle, Sybase etc.
An understanding of Software design and software development lifecycle
The ability to test and analyze data as part of data testing using various tools such as Microsoft Excel, SQL tools etc.
Technology skills: Java, J2EE (Servlets, JDBC, EJB, JSP, JMS), JavaScript, Webservice, Spring framework, Spring Integration, XML, PL/SQL, Perl, Python, Unix scripting, Version control, Release management tools
Knowledge of Angular JS / Vue JS a plus
Experience in testing and analyzing data as part of data analysis
Experience working with vendor systems a plus
Experience with day to day support required
Good communication skills
Strong sense of ownership for system stability and capacity.
The ability to communicate with key business and technology stakeholders on a daily basis
