Our client is a civil contractor based in Eastern Ontario who builds roads, bridges, and sewer/water mains . They are looking for an Office Administrator/Accounts Payable with experience working in the construction industry. This is a Full time – long term position with growth opportunities
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Dealing with in-house/month end reporting
- Ensuring that all payables/invoices are in the system promptly and accurately
- Very in- tune with GL accounts, Project numbers and pertaining cost codes
- Dealing direct with owners – positions gives ability to enforce ownerships direction
- Send emails out to non-conforming field staff with deliverables such as invoice packing slips
REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with Viewpoint finance software
- Sound Accounting principles/experience is a must
- Any accounting designation is a big plus
- Strong MS office skills a must
- Ability to review and reflect how things were done seek improvement
- Strong communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with employees at all levels of the organization
