- Manages the construction schedule and budget for each project;
- Coordinates all administrative aspects of the production department including managing trade partners workload, plan revisions, occupancy date changes, site changes, etc;
- Works with and acts as a liaison between assigned construction sites and various head office departments (architects and design centre consultants) and ensures all activities meet scheduled deadlines;
- Ensures all activities are completed on schedule including obtaining architectural plans (grading plans), services are supplied (hydro, gas, water, phone), colour sheets, on-site equipment and supplies ordered and building permits obtained;
- Reviews plan designs and specifications as required;
- Conducts periodic on-site inspections to ensure construction activities are meeting standards and schedule, and provides recommendations for improvements when required;
- Approves and processes all invoices for customer extras and investigates discrepancies;
- Assists in the preparation and analysis of construction tenders by providing feedback on performance, architectural specifications, etc;
- Attends head office and on-site meetings as required and keeps staff informed of changes
- Maintains all budget projects and commitments;
- Continuously pursues cost effective alternatives to improve financial performance in all areas;
- Supervises, trains and monitors performance of direct reports;
- Builds, manages, and maintains a high performance team through effective talent recruitment, coaching, and development;
- Sets high standards, establishes accountability and measures performance consistent with Company Values;
- Assists site superintendent to ensure all staff and trades partners abide by Ministry of Ontario Labour regulations and Company Health & Safety Policies;
