Root Key Engineering is one of the four founding pillars under the Cryptographic Services Team, with the mission of safeguarding the bank’s Critical Information Assets. The teams primary responsibilities are research and development of the cryptographic platform toolsets. The team is purposefully formulated with the correct expertise to align with Information Security & Controls (IS&C) strategic goals. We have made significant investments in automation and research into industry-leading cryptographic tools to meet technology enabler initiatives.

Reporting to the Senior Manager of Platform Engineering Cryptography, the Senior Root Key Engineer will:
Take ownership of the Crypto Root Key Platforms, which integrate with other systems at the bank and offer services to clients at the enterprise level.
Demonstrate strong leadership skills to inspire and drive the technical teams and the stakeholders alike to success.
Identify evolutionary opportunities through centralization, automation and risk remediation.
Recommend strategic technology solution and ability to see the big picture.
Provide subject matter expertise on Root Key Platforms.
Lead architecture and design discussions around solutions.
Provide leadership to improve Performance, Scalability, Reliability, and Audit Compliance for Root Key Platforms.
Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role?
7+ years of technical experience in the financial industries.
Proven 7+ years experience in building large scale solutions and successfully running multiple platforms at the enterprise level.
7+ years of full stack development expertise (i.e. Java, spring, JavaScript, Shell scripting, React, Angular or equivalent).
Strong knowledge in Cryptography, Cloud, Cloud Security and Data protection.
Ability to apply Security principles to Cloud Platforms and containerized applications to meet IT standards, methodologies, key management regulations, and audit requirements.
Track record with DevSecOps experience (i.e, Azure, Kubernetes, Ansible and Terraform).
Experience using Jenkins, Git workflow, JIRA, Confluence and CI/CD tools.
Familiarity with web services patterns/architectures, e.g. REST, SOAP, etc.
AWS and Google cloud experience would be an asset(s)
GO Lang programing experience would be an asset
Security accreditations would be an asset(s).
