This role is responsible for leading web-based user interface (UI) design/development efforts, providing analysis and implementation support for customized systems and developing functionality based on defined requirements :
- Proficient in understanding of J2EE architecture
- Development experience with IBM Curam platform (good to have)
- 5+ years of J2EE, Struts, EJB, Webservices experience
- At least 9 years of experience in design, development, implementation and maintenance of large complex Java/J2EE applications .
- At least 6 years of recent development experience with very strong skills in Java/J2EE
- Proficient in analyzing and designing changes to existing web-based software solutions
- Complete knowledge of SDLC methodologies, e.g. Agile development
Responsibilities :
- Collaborate with other development and integration team members to ensure Java technologies are properly implemented and maintained
- Design, develop and document web application user interfaces and Java modules using standard methodology best practices (Agile)
- Create and maintain application software documentation (scope requirements, logical designs, technical designs, testing plans, etc.)
- Develop front-end UI/JSP pages and necessary back-end Java classes to support secure data access and user authorization
- Analyze technical and business requirements to help define the scope of Java development initiatives and serve as a technical resource for sound development and integration practices
- Provide reporting as needed to satisfy client requests
- Develop effective, object oriented programs/modules that adhere to established requirements and conform to detailed design specifications
- Maintain industry/technical knowledge base and facilitates/maintains industry relationships
- Demonstrate commitment to providing customer-focused quality service
- Support assigned systems with on-call availability and respond within agreed upon time frames
- Perform other duties as deemed relevant based upon experience to fulfill customer needs
