Job Summary
Our fast growing, progressive, downtown Toronto based accounting practice is looking for a staff accountant to join our ranks. We are a small, boutique accounting practice that is looking to add a motivated and experienced individual.

Responsibilities and Duties
As a staff accountant you will be responsible for helping our clients with:
– Preparation of working paper files for corporate year-ends (Notice to reader year-ends)
– Preparation of personal and corporate tax returns
– Preparation of T4/T5 informational returns
– Preparation of HST, partnership and trust returns
– Communicating with clients and CRA
Qualifications and Skills
The successful candidate will have the following skills/experience:
– At least 1 year post designation (CPA) experience (3-4 years public accounting environment)
– Experienced in the use of Caseware and Caseview
– Experienced with tax preparation software (Taxprep/Profile)
– Must be proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Word/Excel)
The successful candidate will also possess the following skills:
– Ability to work independently and as part of a team
– Organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and work under pressure
– Commitment to quality and attention to detail
– Excellent written and verbal communication skills
– Proven problem solver with solid analytical skills
