Job Purpose
The Procurement Intake Analyst, reporting to the Procurement Intake Manager within Procurement Operations area of Global Procurement Services, enables the Sourcing Intake Triage by clarifying and directing needs to pre-existing contracts and suppliers when possible. Additionally, this role monitors and reports compliance to the Global Procurement Policy. The role is responsible to follow and execute the Sourcing Intake Triage procedures to ensure Operational Level Agreement targets are met. Work is performed in accordance with the Scotiabank values and guiding principles, and in adherence to the Scotiabank Code of Conduct.
Key Job Accountabilities
Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.
Applies knowledge of procurement policy and follows Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to triage goods and services intake requests. intake requests.
Interacts with goods and services requestors and Sourcing Managers to review and clarify intake requests. Challenge requestors to direct low value and low risk intake requests to existing suppliers.
Advises requestors to ensure mandatory requirements highlighted in the Self-Service Sourcing Guide are followed when the intake requests do not require Global Procurement Services Sourcing assistance.
Operates the Banks procurement technology solutions for consulting existing supplier/contract records and updates the intake requests as needed.
Populates and maintains the intake requests Master Data Base. Updates the intake status daily to ensure accuracy of analysis dashboard.
Executes the framework for Procurement Policy non-compliance and subsequent action plans.
Prepares, updates, follows Standard Operating Procedures documentation to ensure data quality and consistent delivery of service according to established Operating Level Agreements (OLAs).
Prepares, updates, follows the Problem Resolution Procedure (PRP) documentation to resolve common problems.
Escalate issues to Sr. Analyst and Manager and track to resolution. Understands how the Banks risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas in accordance with Scotiabanks Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk.

Education and other requirements
College Diploma or University Degree in related field.
2+ years of project management, business administration, business analysis, data analysis, business process improvement, and/or business help desk, operations experience.
Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Visio) and Excel (able to write formulas, effectively use lookup & references functions, logical functions and text functions at a minimum).
Detail oriented, analytical skills and data collection and manipulation experience.
Good written, oral and presentation skills and an ability to synthesize information and make clear, concise recommendations.
High level of self-motivation and initiative, and ability to operate effectively as a team player.
Good customer service skills when dealing with internal and external stakeholders.
Experience with Coupa, Ivalua or other eProcurement software is desirable.
