The Team:

Global Collections Technology provides solutions and support to the retail Collections business operations in Canada, LATAM and Caribbean countries. We support mission critical applications and technology processes across the global landscape of the bank to help our business partners provide customer service excellence with regards to the collection of delinquent payments.

 

The Role:

Helping us build data expertise and a data focused mindset in Global Collections, the role will support the MIS and Reporting business strategy by designing, deploying and evolving the data systems solutions. The role leads the architectural deliverables for the data modelling and reporting requirements for Global Collections, providing technical consultation and direction for the development of MIS/BI data solutions.

 

Some of the Key Accountabilities include:

Working with large data sets and distributed computing to support and solution MIS data deliverables (data modelling and analysis, business intelligence, custom and defined MI reporting)
Analysing source data to determine the best reporting structures to build
Designing and developing ETL pipelines using multiple sources of data in various formats
Conducting ETL, SQL and DB performance tuning, troubleshooting and capacity estimation, to ensure highest data quality standards
Using sound agile development practices (code reviews, testing, etc) to develop and deliver data products
Providing day-to-day support and technical expertise to both technical and non-technical teams
Working with other technology teams to brainstorm solutions to MIS related problems
Being a trusted partner for the business, leading MIS related discussions for Global Collections Technology
 

What You Will Bring to Succeed:

•         Expertise in all things data (ETL, Modelling and Visualizations)

•         Strong proficiency in the Microsoft stack, SSIS, SQL and Power BI

•         Experience in moving from on premise to cloud

•         Proficiency with relational databases

•         A development/design background, experienced in various ETL technologies

•         Sound judgement, keen eye for details and tenacity for solving difficult problems

•         Strong analytical skills, demonstrating the use of data for sound decision making

•         The ability to translate business needs into technical requirements

•         Experience of leading technology initiatives that support a digital modernisation strategy

•         Strong relationship management and communication skills

•         Can lead and drive a customer focused culture to deepen client partnerships and leverage broader bank relationships, systems and knowledge
