Business Analysis Manager, Collection Systems (15 Month Contract) – Toronto, ON

As the Business Analysis Manager, Collection systems, the incumbent contributes to the overall success of Canada Collections by supporting the delivery of regularly scheduled System Maintenance Releases, technology-related projects and the integration & design of new products, services and collection system technologies in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.

 

What Your Role Will Be:

Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.
Acts as a direct liaison and represents the Collection System to its partners in Technology and Operations.
Supports the delivery of system enhancements and technology projects that contribute to the delivery and execution of business plans and objectives.
Facilitates requirements discovery, analysis and solution designs in collaboration with business stakeholders and technology partners.
Oversees the QAT test execution by reviewing test plans and addressing any outstanding defects.
Identifies and assesses opportunities to streamline processes or ineffective procedures in the technical and functional design of the Collection System.
Acts as a subject matter expert and provides consultation services and solutions.
Maintain the integrity and confidentiality of the Bank and Customer information as set out in Scotiabank’s Privacy Code.
Adhering to regulatory and Internal Bank guidelines as required and maintaining awareness throughout the year. Ensuring compliance to AML (Anti-Money Laundering), KYC (Know Your Customer), and Privacy policies by all team members.
Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk.

Skills You Already Have:

University Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Information Systems or related field is preferred
Related work experience with a Risk Automated System, Debt Collections Management Software, Change Management Expertise and possesses significant knowledge of Lean Methodologies.
Strong technical aptitude and System Administration experience in managing complex system design & configuration.
Strong experience in requirements planning and prioritization including analysis and effort estimation.
Strong experience in Data Analysis and Database Management Tools such as MS Access, DB2, Oracle
Strong Programming languages knowledge (SQL, SAS, Python, VBA, Shell Script) to derive Business & System insights is an asset.
Knowledge of Bank systems & applications that support business functions (CIS, KS, SL, MO, TLS, RLP, PEGA, Robotics, TRIAD, Aspect Dialer, Avaya Dialer) is an asset
Working knowledge of retail & small business credit products, consumer credit lifecycle and Collections.
Knowledge of Banks’ Collection Application system, Collection360 (CACS) is an asset
Expert knowledge of MS applications (Work, Excel, Visio, Projects, PowerPoint, Sharepoint)
