Business Analysis Specialist (eFX/FX)

As a Business Analysis Specialist with the eFX team you would

•    Gather user requirements, design solutions and test the system enhancements.
•    Lead enhancements and initiatives
•    Support eGFX system and Scotia systems for the FX desks and Global Operations.
•    Manage and support release of system enhancements

 

Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:

 

 

Participate in the support of the production and maintenance of the FX platform
Participate in all aspects of a systems development life cycle within the development team And act as a liaison and primary communication channel between appropriate business line and development teams on requirements, issue resolution, status, project execution and prioritization
Gather stakeholder needs, provide detailed product design specification by way of user stories and assist in the prioritising of stories during Sprint planning
Turn business requirements into technical specifications and other technical documentation (data transformations, design and operational support documentation)
Demonstrate knowledge of bank’s products (i.e. capital markets and retail) and operational process and controls. Specifically of FX trades and products within eFX
Demonstrate strong experience in working within an agile environment, either as a product owner or as a team member
Apply a variety of analysis tools to interpret data and identify patterns 
      Specifically within:

Maintain a high level of quality in the deliverables to the eFX business
Continuously automate process to gain efficiency and velocity
Continuously contribute to the knowledge management of the team (new processes, functions and technologies).
 

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? – We’d love to work with you if you have:

 

 

Good knowledge of financial instruments, including market conventions and valuation methods, and risk management methodologies and models including best practices, current and anticipated regulatory requirements, Back Office processes, and the end-to-end workflows among the Front, Middle, and Back Offices, within at least one financial market area, and a basic knowledge of at least one other financial market area.
Creativity, ability to be a self-starter, results-oriented, and high level of motivation, with good analytical skills in order to assist in the resolution of complex business problems
Basic understanding of current EDP practices, systems development techniques, including requirements specification and testing methodologies, real-time analytical and formal modelling tools, and keep current with rapidly changing technology.
Good interpersonal and communication skills, and exercise diplomacy and judgement, to effectively work with end users and members of a project team.
A recognized under-graduate degree in business, econometrics, mathematics or a related discipline, along with 3-5 years of practical experience is required.
