The Product Lead – Digital Product Management assumes end-to-end ownership for various digital products by leading cross-functional teams to conceptualize, define and implement new features. Leveraging their ability to organize and motivate teams, they will work with Product lines, Bank Stakeholders, Software Developers and Designers to translate customer journey directives into actionable backlog deliverables, and follow through to completion. 

 

Is this role right for you?

As part of the digital product team, develop vision and roadmap for owning areas and create/maintain a detailed prioritized product backlog
Establish a close relationship with the business to ensure their requirements are translated into the right digital technology products
Work with engineering and design teams to determine feasible technical solutions and reasonable implementation timelines
Engage day-to-day with the scrum teams writing and clarifying user stories, participating in sprint planning and reviews, backlog grooming and prioritization
Facilitate problem solving as required, working closely with design, development and delivery teams on implementation challenges
Engage with analytics teams to establish, measure and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) for new features
Manage engagement with bank stakeholders and effectively communicate product release contents and expected product capabilities/customer journey
Understand and keep up-to-date with emerging technologies, trends and innovative solutions especially in the mobile space being implemented across the industry
Build and lead a team of Digital Product Managers; coach team members and help with their development / desired outcomes as required
Maintain an understanding of the financial services industry and trends in digital banking
 

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed?

Previous work experience in product management, business analysis or in a related field
Experience working on mobile products, preferably in the consumer space is a plus
Excellent project delivery skills, with proven accomplishments leading cross-functional projects
Experience in hiring and leading a team of product managers
Strong problem solver with ability to lead the team to push the solution and progress
Excellent organizational and analytical skills with strong attention to detail
Curious and experimental mindset to drive innovation amidst uncertainty
Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at different levels in the organizations
Experience with Agile methodologies preferably scrum
An understanding of mobile-first design principles
High-level technical understanding of how apps are put together (network calls, caching, UI, etc.)
Technical knowledge with understanding of systems, design and architecture
Business, Engineering, Computer Science degree with 4+ years related experience in product management solution delivery is preferred
Experience in financial services is an asset
