Purpose

Leads and oversees Change Management, Knowledge Transfer and Project/Process Management for Global Finance, across Canada, into the International Banking and GBM countries.  Drives stakeholder engagement through change, and project management from the business and process perspectives aligned to the Bank’s priorities, as the Finance Strategic Initiatives and Target Operating Model continue to be implemented and evolve.

 

Key Accountabilities

 

Lead teams including Change Managers and Business and Process Analysts to drive projects and process reviews throughout Global Finance supporting:

Leading all aspects of the diagnostic, design and implementation stages by working with cross functional teams
Leading the communication with other Finance areas, senior executives/sponsors and Global Finance Technology teams and/or other project groups.
Manage project/process reviews’ deliverables forward by strategic influencing, effective resource management, prioritization and problem solving.

Accountable for the overall Change Management approach related to Global Finance initiatives (e.g. Payment Operations (third-party and employees), process optimization, automation, legacy systems’ decommissioning, implementation of new systems/tools)
Build a high performing team that will meet the demands of their accountabilities while also having the knowledge base for ongoing support post transformation related initiatives
Collaborate with executives & workstream owners to assess change impact throughout the implementation of initiatives (including transition to business as usual) and validate if it meets the business objectives
Accountable for leading transitions for Finance functions/activities as part of the Shared Services’ operating model. Manage the Change Management responsibilities related to transitioning functions and lead overall coordination with stakeholders. 
Manage and resolve escalations, issues and provide direction to IT partners related to Global Finance initiatives.
Identify gaps (Process, People and Technology) and provide recommendations with a “Continuous Improvement” mindset.
Effectively manage senior stakeholders to proactively identify roadblocks and ensure alignment and support
Manage team resources and contracts through the project lifecycle. Monitors budget, project schedule and risks for leadership review. 
Other ad hoc responsibilities as assigned.
 
Experience / Education:

10+ years of experience in Change Management, Project Management, Knowledge Transfer on large scale, global projects. Minimum 5 years of Change Management experience. 
Change Management Certification (CCMP, PROCI, Others) highly preferred. 
Certification in PMP preferred. 
University/Master’s degree in Business/Finance/Accounting and/or disciplines where process design and/or technology are a focus
Good experience in business transformations, process redesign, and process review / improvement
Working experience in using PROSCI and other methodologies
Proven experience in large scale technology programs and ERPs – highly preferred
Practical project/process management knowledge – Agile, Waterfall and Hybrid
Strong understanding of the Finance processes and ways of working (would be a strong asset)
Ability to influence peers and other individuals who are not direct reports and build relationships at all levels within the organization
Excellent collaborative skills; ability to drive results and successfully manage through adversity
