International Oversight Analyst

Job Summary:

Reporting to the Senior Manager, International Oversight, the International Oversight Analyst will be responsible for the fund administration oversight of third party vendors for the operations of Caribbean and Latin American domiciled investment funds, including but not limited to, net asset value (NAV) oversight, dealer and transfer agency support and oversight, trade settlement oversight, regulatory reporting oversight, and fund budgeting and expense review.

This role will require building relationships and interaction with a number of international third party service providers and counterparties, as well as internal product and business groups both locally and internationally.

The successful incumbent will be a focused, highly motivated, independent, innovative team player, possessing a results-oriented attitude with the ability to adapt and problem solve. You should possess the knowledge, skills and ability required to be part of an experienced and independent team and assess, recommend and implement process improvement and operational efficiencies in an effort to better support Asset Management Operations.

The incumbent is expected to perform their various position duties independently under general direction from the Senior Manager, and to act within department and Bank policy.

 

Responsibilities:

•    Daily net asset value oversight, including issue resolution;
•    Dealer and transfer agency support and oversight, including project management initiatives such as new products, fund terminations and re-domiciliations;
•    Trade settlement oversight, including support functions such as security master maintenance, trade reconciliations, corporate actions, private placements, loans and market openings;
•    Regulatory reporting oversight for monthly, quarterly, semi-annual and annual reporting to local regulators;
•    Review of fund expenses, fund budgets, MERs and absorption calculations;
•    Liaise with other departments on various issues that arise, questions, and requests for information;
•    Lead special projects/analyses on an ad hoc basis as assigned by the Senior Manager.

 

Requirements:

•    Accounting designation, or working towards
•    Minimum 2 to 3 years of related experience; fund administration, international investment funds, or asset management experience
•    Familiarity of legal, regulatory, political or tax environments in Caribbean or Latin American countries an asset
•    Proficient in MS Office, primarily excel
•    Highly motivated, independent, innovative and results-oriented attitude
•    Attention to detail and the ability to adhere to time-sensitive deadlines
•    Excellent written and verbal communication skills
