Purpose
Responsible for facilitating learning courses, programs and development experiences designed by the Learning COE. iLEAD Leadership Learning and Talent CoE to build leadership capabilities and skills in Scotiabank, by coordinating with Program Managers, Learning Operations, and iLEAD Team to implement programs. This role facilitates learning to ensure learning experiences are aligned with learning and performance objectives, Talent Priorities and business outcomes.
Accountabilities
Champions a customer focused culture throughout their team to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge
Facilitates leadership learning courses, programs and experiences, end-to-end ensuring planning, designing, execution, reporting and sustainment activities are achieved at high quality standards.
Provides advice to business groups on available learning technologies, shares coaching insights and best practices using the social learning platforms including Workplace and Scotia Academy to sustain learning, and promote a culture of continuous learning
Provides input on the design and development of major initiatives, including feedback on new learning programs as requested and recommending ongoing updates and enhancements of current programs to the content owner.
Provides one-to-one and group coaching and support to employees to enhance learning experience, ensure clear understanding of objectives and develop plans to achieve objectives and delivers one-on-one performance coaching sessions to employees at various levels, and across all business lines/key support areas
Maintains ongoing relationship with Learning COE to gain understanding of learning programs and curriculum and conducts research to identify or share current leadership trends, practices and approaches
Monitors and evaluates learning activities and program effectiveness, provides insights to Senior Manager, iLEAD Learning Programs
Understands how the Banks risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions
Actively pursues effective and efficient operations within his/her respective areas, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, AML/ATF risk and conduct risk, including but not limited to responsibilities under the Operational Risk Management Framework, Regulatory Compliance Risk Management Framework, AML/ATF Global Handbook and the Guidelines for Business Conduct

Education/Experience Required:
Degree, certificate or designation in adult learning is required
Post-Secondary Degree in Human Resources or Business or related field
Certified Training Practitioner accreditation required
Coaching designation from an International Coach Federation accredited program is preferred
Significant or relevant experience in developing and executing learning strategies and solutions in a large complex corporate environment
Previous virtual facilitation experience preferred
Strong presentation and communication skills, both verbal and written
Understanding of Banks business strategy and how Learning can support them
Proven teamwork capabilities; relationship management and interpersonal skills
Superior prioritization and time management skills
Flexibility and ability to adapt to changing work environments
Proven teamwork capabilities; strong relationship management and interpersonal skills
Demonstrated project management skills and effective execution skills to ensure successful delivery/implementation of learning initiatives and programs
Spanish/French language skills are an asset
