The Manager is required to provide technology guidance, project delivery and product support for the PISCO application.
PISCO is a network of models spanning 17+ countries and calculates profitability by segment, product and channel as well as providing insights into volumes, revenues and costs.
The incumbent will have at least 7 years of progressive IT experience, preferably in the financial services industry, and the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
The incumbent should be considered a specialist in the Microsoft SQL Server suite of products and strong knowledge of SAS. They should also have a strong Project Management & Technical Support background. The individual must thrive on challenge, be proactive, dynamic and demonstrate initiative.
The incumbent ensures delivery of technically complex solutions for PISCO in order to get a better use for this application. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring standards and best practices around the development of application services and common components. The incumbent will present the technological solution in relationship to the architecture, design and development.
Key Accountabilities:
Run Extraction Transformation Load (ETL) processes of intermediate level of complexity to meet the high availability, data integrity and reliability requirements of the production environment.
The incumbent must have a strong knowledge of the following:
Server operational and application platforms: Windows 2016/2017
Database and programming platforms and technologies: MS SQL Server 2016/2017, DTS, SSIS, TSQL, SAS, SAS Macro, VBA, VBScript.
Monitor, assess and evaluate ETL results. Through various dimensions of analysis, work closely with BIS, IBS and Country teams to develop actionable recommendations to enhance data quality & productivity.
Provides technological support to the existing PISCO processes and any future development that is prioritized
Operationalize business rules where appropriate.
Meet Bank policies for data security, privacy and regulatory requirements
Keep abreast of applicable technology and best practices and propose cost effective changes.
Oversee data storage and usage in the environments available to Microsoft SQL Server by:
optimizing PISCO data architecture
optimizing production data processing
Lead major technological initiatives by conducting or arranging for:
project plans, resources & status reports
relevant research, analysis and findings
solution design & recommendations
production of project deliverables
implementation
Document PISCO policies, logic and practices:
data architecture
data transformation logic
Establish and champion quality improvement activities for the department
The incumbent is expected to function independently to ensure that the assigned tasks and project objectives are met.
Experience / Education:
Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
Knowledge and skills of data architecture specifically using Microsoft SQL Server
5 to 7 years experience in Microsoft SQL Server
Knowledge in SAS programming.
Knowledge of Bank GL hierarchy, Finance (EGL) and core banking platforms.
Knowledge of relevant hardware & software tools.
Strong Written and oral communication skills
Strong project management skills and ability to multi-task and manage concurrent projects
Disciplined in development methodology and familiar with software development technologies and concepts
Excellent problem-solving skills have vision and innovative approach to computer-based solutions and ability to convey these ideas.
Must be flexible to adapt to a dynamic environment, make quick and sound decisions under pressure.
Must be reliable, pro-active, results-oriented, customer-focused and attentive to details
Hands on/technical knowledge and experience with web-based technologies.
