As the Product Manager, Global Digital Design Systems you will contributes to the overall success of Digital Banking in Canada and globally ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team’s business strategies and objectives.  Ensures all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.

 

 

Is this role right for you?

Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.
Work with design and engineering in problem discovery to understand product team needs, current challenges and come up with solutions that are scalable.
Lead the vision, strategy, and roadmap for Canvas, Scotiabank’s Global Design System.
Maintain a detailed prioritized product backlog, with space to shift priorities based on needs from teams in all countries where Scotiabank created digital products.
Use data to drive decisions. Build hypothesis, test & iterate to formulate an agile product development approach based on our dashboards.
Establish a close relationship with the business stakeholders to ensure their requirements are translated into the right components and templates. Manage expectations with effective communication.
Establish and evolve clear OKRs for Canvas and work with our dashboards to measure, assess, and report key performance indicators (KPIs)
Maintain an understanding of the financial services industry and trends in digital banking as well as in design systems
Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
 

 

 

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed?

You have managed a technology product or a digital journey end to end, from inception to delivery
You have experience in the financial industry, preferably working closely on a compliance or regulatory initiative
You are a strong problem solver and have a flair for getting things done
You have excellent organizational and analytical skills with strong attention to detail
You have a curious and experimental mindset to drive innovation amidst uncertainty
Your verbal and written communication skills are exceptional, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at different levels in the organizations
Previous work experience in product management, business analysis or in a related field
Strong facilitation skills with proven accomplishments leading cross-functional teams
Strong problem solver with ability to lead the team to push the solution and progress
Excellent organizational and analytical skills with strong attention to detail
Curious and experimental mindset to drive innovation amidst uncertainty
Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at different levels in the organizations
