The primary function of the Reconciliation Analyst is to maintain an efficient Interbranch & Intercompany Account system through effective planning, control and organisation of the routine operations in accordance with the bank’s policies and procedures in order to minimize the bank’s exposure to potential losses.
Key Accountabilities:
Effective and efficient maintaining of Interbranch and Intercompany Reconciliation;
Preparation and analysis of Interbranch (IB) and Intercompany (IC) variances (TAD-TAD,TAD-GL variances)
Analysis IB/IC Income Statement & Balance Sheet differences;
Communicate with various departments with differences and ensure timely resolution;
Advise of material differences for taking appropriate corrective actions;
Act as the backup to the team during the team member’s absence
The incumbent will be cross trained and will assist or perform on other reconciliaiton process in the group as assigned
Assist the audit requests timely and accurately
Other duties as assigned by the Senior Manager and Department.
Experience / Education:
Good understanding of accounting concepts and possess accounting and financial background;
Excellent analytical, problem solving and communication skills;
A motivated self starter with attention to detail and a team player;
Good time management and organizational skills with the ability to work under tight time constraints in a high volume environment specially at quarter ends;
Possess advanced working knowledge MS Excel skills.
Possess under graduate degree in commerce or post secondary education business and accounting
