Senior Analyst – Global Compliance, Strategy & Insight

Job Purpose

 

The role of Senior Analyst, Strategy & Insight is responsible for supporting the development and maintenance of the Global Compliance strategic direction as well as reporting commitments to the Bank’s Senior Leadership, the Board of Directors, and external regulators. The incumbent will report to the Senior Manager, Strategy & Insight, supporting speed and agility in decision making across various initiatives in-flight. This role is also responsible for developing complex reporting to be used in strategic decision making, to report the Bank’s adherence to established policies & regulations, as well as alignment on evolving global regulatory expectations.

 

Key Accountabilities

 

Support the development and maintenance of reporting dashboards and high-impact presentations for Senior-level Executive audiences to influence action on strategic recommendations as well as the state of and adherence to established policies and processes at the enterprise level (e.g., Compliance CCO Opinion Report, Compliance Risk Oversight Committee Report, and Ad Hoc reports).
Develop Key Performance Indicator (KPIs) that support the measurement of initiative impact.
Develop reporting models and analytical methodologies in the review of data sources.
Look for opportunities to improve reporting including through automation and standardization.
Analyze data and information to provide insights and recommendations required to inform strategic recommendations for the group as well as regulatory and enterprise-wide requirements/goals.
Act as a resource for insights in annual, quarterly and monthly management reporting deliverables.
Work collaboratively with teams both within and outside Global Compliance on reporting and other strategic initiatives, as required.
 

Education / Experience

 

Recent graduate with 1-2 years of banking/financial services experience.
University degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or Mathematics is desirable.
Excellent analytical capabilities with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate, very comfortable with quantitative & financial analysis.
Experienced in data collection, querying and graphical reporting.
Able to visualize information and summarize in a clear and concise manner and adapt communication to Senior management.
An expert user of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint with the ability to organize and manipulate data.
Ambitious, attention to detail and top performer that thrives in a fast-paced, challenging and dynamic business environment.
Able to manage multiple activities to aggressive deadlines.
Experience in PowerBI and/or Advanced SharePoint Site Management skill are a plus.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Fluency in Spanish is an asset.
