Job Purpose
The Rapid Buy Senior Analyst reports to the Rapid Buy Manager within Procurement Operations area of Global Procurement Services. The Senior Analyst enables infrequent, and low-risk spot purchases using PO Terms & Conditions as the form of contract, as well as conducting Quick Quote events in Coupa. The role is responsible to follow, contribute, operationalize and execute the Rapid Buy Operating Procedures related to spot buying working alongside team members to ensure Operational Level Agreement targets are being met. Work is performed in accordance with the Scotiabank values and guiding principles, and in adherence to the Scotiabank Code of Conduct.
Key Job Accountabilities
Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.
Applies knowledge of procurement best practice and general business practice to assist business units by facilitating timely, cost effective spot purchases from suppliers through established processes that are compliant with the Global Procurement Policy and other related policies. Spot purchases under scope are infrequent, and low risk from new or existing suppliers using Purchase Orders Terms and Conditions as a form of contract.
Organizes and conducts electronic Quick Quote events in Coupa from pre-qualified suppliers, based on the requirements provided by Requestors.
Interacts with Requestors and Suppliers to support spot purchase requisitions and quick quote events including: Set-up, training, monitoring, evaluation, supplier award and onboarding and order placement.
Designs, prepares and distributes reports to monitor:
Purchases are compliant with the Procurement Policy compliance;
Operational KPIs and OLAs.
Escalates issues to Manager, Business, Suppliers, or other internal stakeholders and tracks to effective resolution.
Prepares, reviews, recommends for approval, and follows Standard Operating Procedures documentation to ensure data quality and consistent delivery of service according to established Operating Level Agreements (OLAs).
Prepares, reviews, recommends for approval, and follows prepared Problem Resolution Procedure (PRP) documentation to resolve common problems.
Understands how the Banks risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas in accordance with Scotiabanks Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk.

Education and other requirements
College Diploma or University Degree in a related field
4-6 years of Spot Buying, or Tactical progressive experience, RFX management, and negotiations with suppliers.
Highly proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Visio) and Excel (able to write compound formulas, effectively use lookup & references functions, logical functions and text functions at a minimum).
Experience with designing and implementing dashboards to visually track, analyze and display KPIs, metrics and key data points to monitor specific processes.
Detail orientated with excellent analytical skills and data collection and manipulation experience
Support team members in identifying, verifying, analyzing, and implementing process improvement opportunities.
Excellent written, oral and presentation skills and an ability to synthesize information and make clear and concise recommendations.
Self-starter, organized, and able to operate effectively in a team environment.
Strong customer service skills when dealing with internal and external stakeholders.
Experience with Coupa or other eProcurement software is an asset.
Fluent in Spanish is an asset.
Experience with Icertis is an asset.
