Position: Maintenance Technician (Mask Machine)
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Location: Markham
Shift time:
Morning shift: 7:00-15:30
5 days work with the flexibility of On-Call and OT (We are open Monday to Sunday)
Responsibilities
- Set up and run our automated machines
- Load and replace materials
- Perform corrective and preventive maintenance, including replacement of wear-components
- Ensure quality of masks being produced is within JY Care specifications
- Troubleshoot machine and material issues and take corrective and preventative actions
- Perform incoming inspection of all materials
- Perform quality inspection according to stringent medical device standards
- Contribute to enhancing our equipment and processes
- Inventory management of materials and machine replacement parts
- Contribute to enhancing our equipment and processes
- Any other tasks requested by the supervisor within the technician role
Qualifications
- College or University program in electro-mechanical and/or automation field
- Experience operating automated machines, working on machines and troubleshooting mechanical/ electrical/ technical issues
- Troubleshooting complex mechanical, electrical and configuration issues and repair / correct the issues with minimal supervision
- Willing to learn new skills
- Proficiency with hand-tools
- Experience with ultrasonic welding an asset
- Excellent communications skills, both oral and written
- Proficient with office applications
- Drivers’ license with access to a vehicle preferred
Working Conditions:
- Masks are produced in an industrial clean room
- Must wear full PPE (hair cover, mask, gown, gloves, shoe covers, etc.) when inside clean room.
- It can be quite loud in the cleanroom (hearing protection is provided).
- Standing for long periods of time
- Bending, reaching, carrying etc.
- Lifting up to 50lbs

- Maintenance Technician: 3 year (Requested)
- Industrial Automation: 3 year (Preferred)
- Machine Operator: 3 year (Preferred)
