Intermediate Accountant

We are seeking an intermediate accountant to join our team at our Head Office in Vaughan, Ontario. This position will provide candidates with the experience and opportunity to develop into a more senior role. Reporting to Finance Manger, the ideal candidate will have accounting for manufacturing/wholesale experience, a sound knowledge of accounting practices and principles and can work in a fast-paced environment and possess a positive can-do attitude.

Main Duties/Responsibilities

  • Reconcile and post inter-company transactions
  • Maintain company funded loan and capital loan accounts
  • Monitor daily cash flow and prepares weekly cash flow reports
  • Prepare the working paper files and schedules to support month-end adjusting entries
  • Prepare credit card reconciliation and review bank reconciliation
  • Prepare sales commission reports, purchase comparison reports and others
  • Prepare Canadian, USA and Malaysia payroll report and submit payments
  • Coordinate with external auditors and supply audit requests as needed
  • Ad hoc projects as needed in supporting other accounting functions
  • Back-up for AP and treasury disbursements
  • Perform other duties as required
  • Collaborate with peers and management in Canada and other regions


  • Minimum 3 years accounting experience
  • Strong command of accounting principles
  • CPA registered
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel skills
  • Experience with ERP systems implementation or migration beneficial
  • Meet specified deadlines
  • Communicate effectively verbally and in writing
  • Interact with employees and vendors in a professional manner
  • Understand and interpret financial statements
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Perform mathematical computations quickly and accurately
  • Possess strong organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • High level of judgment and respects the confidentiality of company and personnel information
  • Deals professionally and courteously with all internal and external contacts
  • Seeks guidance and direction as necessary in the performance of duties
