Position Overview

Quality Assurance Analyst LeadFull-time permanent position

Novari Health is looking for a motivated individual with leadership skills who is ready to lead a team of bright QA analysts in our Kingston office.

Description of the Position:

As a Quality Assurance Analyst Lead for Novari Health, you will be part of our important mission to improve patient access to care. Everyone on the Novari team plays a big role in the impact we are making within the healthcare industry. Additionally, you will work with the people who built our revolutionary technology and the consumers who use it. This involves working with our Director of Development and providing occasional customer and troubleshooting assistance. Novari developers work within teams in different roles which can change based on weekly requirements. For this reason, our developers must be able to participate in all the aspects of the software development cycle (requirements gathering, design sessions, UI prototyping, coding, testing, and troubleshooting). In addition, as a Quality Assurance Analyst Lead you will focus on coding and subsequent development stages, which will involve the greatest part of your days at Novari. Our team is driven to grow individually and collectively, and we are looking for motivated individuals to join us as we continue to transform access to care around the world.The following list outlines standard work activities you will be performing in the situation you become a successful candidate:

  • Establish and evolve formal QA processes, ensuring that the team is using industry-accepted best practices
  • Be the key point of contact for all QA aspects of releases, providing QA services and coordinating QA resources internally and externally.
  • Oversee all aspects of quality assurance including establishing metrics, applying industry best practices, and developing new tools, and processes to ensure quality goals are met
  • Mentor QA team members and the development team regarding QA processes
  • Develop and execute test cases, scripts, plans and procedures (manual and automated)
  • Determine and provide risk analysis of defects and security issues
  • Communicate with technical and business personnel about business requirements, system related capabilities, and enhancement status.
  • Enhance QA methodology for test and defect management and tools supporting processes.
  • Escalate unresolved issues for suitable customer support level

The successful applicant must have:

  • Knowledge of testing methodologies and industry-standard best practices
  • Demonstrated communication, leadership and team interaction skills
  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in IT or related field, or experience commensurate with the position
  • Strong organization, analytic and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Minimum 3 years software testing experience

Ideal Skills / Qualifications:

  • Experience with SmartBear products
  • Experience with DEV-OPS
  • Experience with JMeter and/or Selenium
  • Experience testing on a range of different platforms (web browser and native iOS and Android apps)
  • Experience in penetration testing and load testing

The following skills would be considered an asset:

  • Experience in NOSQL
  • Experience Mobile development
  • Microsoft Azure
  • Cloud Architecture
  • Experience in the healthcare sector
  • HL7 / FHIR
  • Knowledge of Agile Methodology (Atlassian suite of tools, JIRA, Confluence, etc)
