We have an exciting new opportunity for an Analyst, Private Equity to work within our Investments team.
The Analyst, Private Equity will be responsible for assisting the senior investment professionals in the identification, evaluation, selection, and monitoring of CAAT’s private equity investments. CAAT’s Private Equity team is focused on building diversified portfolios through fund commitments and directs/co-investments. By combining best-in-class manager selection with the ability to strategically deploy capital into attractive opportunities, the Private Equity team seeks to deliver attractive risk-adjusted returns over the long term.
We are looking for someone with the following attributes:
Excellent financial analysis and modeling skills and an ability to perform cash flow, valuation and capital structure analysisStrong knowledge of investment research and trendsSound oral and written communication, interpersonal and critical thinking skillsAn ability to work collaboratively in a small, informal team setting or independently with solid prioritization and organizational skillsStrong work ethic, honesty, and integrityQualifications:
Undergraduate Degree from an accredited institutionOne to three years experience in investment banking, transaction advisory or private markets-focused investing at a pension fund, family office or investment management firm is preferredWorking towards an MBA and/or CFAOnce here:
You will support the screening, due diligence, monitoring and reporting of private equity primary fund commitments and co-investmentsYou will contribute to the monitoring of the current private equity portfolio and maintain a prioritized pipeline of investment opportunitiesYou will assist in the preparation of materials for internal meetings and external due diligenceYou will conduct research on private equity investment themes and perform special projects as neededYou will assist in the evaluation of prospective private equity investment opportunities, including; valuation, market trends, competition, and key investment risks and meritsYou will assist in the preparation of private equity-related quarterly Investment Committee meeting and senior management reporting materials and assist with accounting, finance, or administrative functions when neededYou will review regular reporting and participate in conference calls related to CAAT’s private equity investmentsYou will, with direction from senior staff, contribute to the standardization and documentation of CAAT’s private market investing practices and processesWhat does CAAT offer you?
