Actively participate in the life cycle of enterprise master and reference data issues:- Assist in managing the life cycle of reference and master data issues from identification, analysis, phased introduction, prioritization and planning of the integration of the data into subscribing hubs- Participate and make recommendations in ongoing meetings with business/technical users to identify and document reference and master data standards- Make recommendations of data standards and collaborate with policy makers to ensure all decisions are backed by policy- Assist with the development of data quality methodology and advocate adoption of best practicesMust be comfortable to use various tools, which most effectively and efficiently support best practices to communicate and collaborate:- Data mapping (translation of business rules to technical rules) – Collection and centralization of requirements, decisions as they impact the enterprise data system architecture and designCreate and maintain centralized Data Standards and Data definitions, including field-level data definitions, mapping rules, workflows and recommended sources for data to populate each required data element- Define test strategy, test plan and test cases for the implementation project and establish operational QA methods to ensure the highest quality level of data.- Provide SME (Subject Matter Expertise) with specific product / assets classesFocus on understanding business needs for data and information driven projects by assisting in work sessions with business clients and other stakeholdersExtract and analyze large amounts of data, with the subsequent ability to synthesize the data into information and insights, which will be used to support the decision making process:- Perform detailed data analysis and profiling and summarize findings – Will be required to analyze data-by-data type, classification, formats and domainsRequired Qualifications/Experience:
Excellent written and verbal communication skillsAt least 3 to 5 years experience as business or system analyst, preferably some of the experience are with data related applications and supportFamiliar with Office tools such as Excel, SQL queries is also requiredStrong troubleshooting and problem solving skills, have vision and innovative approach to solutioning business logics/design and ability to convey these ideasMust be flexible to adapt to a dynamic environment, make quick and sound decisions under pressureBe able to lead and guide discussions internally and externally for securing stakeholder sign-off, finalizing business logic decisions, and problem resolutionsProject management skills, able to multi-task and work on concurrent projectsStrong Team Player, must be reliable, pro-active, results-oriented, customer-focused and attentive to detailsWorking experience with different data formats, e.g. fixed length, CSV, COBOL, XML, relational database tablesExperience/knowledge of market data vendors and their offerings e.g. Bloomberg, Reuters etcExperience/knowledge in the areas of data warehousing, relational databases, and reporting software
