Position: Senior Project Manager, IT
Job Purpose
Responsible for managing the Business/IS/IT/Security projects of different size and complexity throughout full Project Life Cycle and according to Thales and IS PMO methodology and policies. Senior PM will work with Technical and Business resources from the annual initiatives planning stage and projects Intake throughout the completion of the assigned projects. He / She provide project management consulting to Business/IS/IT/Security for projects within the IS PMO portfolio. He / She will participate in improving the IS PMO governance and performance.

The selected candidate will perform
with little or no guidance and in compliance with the established standards and practices, any or all of the following
activities:
Provide leadership and vision to the project’s teamOverall responsible for delivery of all project components/work-streams/deliverables
Produce all required Manage Demand and Manage Project documents, properly store and manage the project documents, ensuring access to authorized stakeholdersProduce and manage the project governanceDefine and manage the project scope and change requestsIdentify and manage the project dependenciesDevelop, maintain and track the Integrated project WBS and schedule, including the baseline management and resources leveling
Create and manage the project budgetTrack actuals and commitments vs budget; utilize the EV approachEstablish project’s organizational structure, including, but not limited to, responsibility matrixDetermine resource requirements, allocate required resources and manage their availabilityWork, and negotiate, with functional managers the resources availabilityActively manage other project managers and work-package leads involved with the projectFacilitate the project’s steering committeeCommunicate the project status (progress, issues, etc.) to stakeholders according to communication planCommunicate effectively across diverse audiences and organizational levelsFunction as focal point for any project related communication
Negotiate with stakeholders and functional managers competing prioritiesFacilitate stakeholder interaction and participation; Secure stakeholder support for complex and unpopular decisionsChallenge assumptions, propose unpopular, but project beneficial ideas, think outside of the boxDeliver, or oversee the delivery, of project related strategies and plans (e.g. Migration strategy, OCM strategy, Test strategy, Go-Live strategy, etc.)
Resolve project conflicts/issues. If unable to resolve, escalate conflicts/issues according to escalation path
Work within challenging project environment, with changing priorities and demanding users
Manage day-to-day project activities on the assigned work-streams and track progress
Lead/participate in all project related meetingsLiaise with other project teams, functional areas, SMEs and stakeholders
Proactively manage project risks, including the mitigation plan for each and manage the plan implementationProduce periodic and ad-hoc reports according to IST PMO guidelinesApprove project related documents and ensure their approval by other project stakeholdersProvide timely decisions on as-needed basisReassign/release project resources upon work completion
Oversee the project closure activities (e.g. lessons learned, transfer to Operations, etc.)
Participate in improvements of the IST PMO methodology and performance
Participate in the portfolio resources planning and projects prioritization
Mentor and coach stakeholders and team membersAble to travel within North America
Mandatory Requirements
The candidate must meet and be able to prove the following hands-on mandatory experience:
10+ years program/project management of any, or all: Applications, Infrastructure, Architecture, Information Security projects
10+ years of experience managing simultaneously multiple projects of different complexity
7 years managing remote teams in different time-zones
7 years managing projects of 1 – 2 years duration and $2M+ budget
7 years presenting and communicating with senior management, local and abroad
5 years managing data migration and integration projects
5 years managing Business Processes Redesign/Transformation projects
3 years designing and delivering Organizational Change Management projects
3 years of hands-on Primavera and MS-Project experience
3 years minimum PMP certified
ITIL Foundation certified or in the process of obtaining it
Excellent verbal and written command of English language and presentation skills
Understand the SDLS, PDLS, ITIL
Desirable Requirements
Experience with Agile projects and environment
Technical or Functional experience with SAP
Understanding of IT infrastructure principles
Other Requirements
This role requires a satisfactory Canadian Security Clearance Verification
