Havas/Plastic is currently searching for a Java Developer to become part of the team. We are seeking a passionate, resourceful, detail oriented individual who thrives on working in a fast-paced environment. The selected individual should be experienced designing and building web applications.
The candidate will work alongside our talented project managers, engineers and designers to create award-winning websites. A detail-oriented developer, who can balance desires for perfection with the demands of a rigorous pipeline, would be considered ideal for this position.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and support a web-based application with responsive UI using Java, HTML, JSON and JQuery.
- Architect, code and debug problematic code
- Work with and debugging on mobile devices (smartphones, tablets)
- Follow and implement creative designs and experiences
- Build against popular Web frameworks and APIs
- Execute general troubleshooting and problem solving
- Collaborate with architects, designers/developers, business system analysts and testing specialists to deliver high-quality solution
- Work with both onshore and offshore teams to ensure coding, testing, debugging and implementation activities are completed as required
- Participate in the research and evaluation of new tools and technologies
Required Skills:
- BS in Computer Science or Engineering required or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years developing web applications using Java, both front and back-end development
- +2 years experience with PHP, Python
- Experience developing and communicating with RESTful Web API’s.
- Solid understanding of current web technologies including JavaScript libraries, JQuery, etc
- Demonstrated development experience with hand-coding advanced HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Experience utilizing Agile development methodologies
- Must be comfortable using version control systems such as Git
- Should be self-motivated and able to work independently
- Clear written & verbal communication skills.
