As a Project Manager, you’ll ensure the successful implementation and deliverability of projects, enabling customer success. You recognize that leading software implementations is about more than just controlling scope, schedule, and budget. You are a tireless customer advocate, and trusted internal advisor who helps guide optimal implementation by separating wants from needs, making recommendations, and providing coaching on software and industry-based best practices.
As part of the Professional Services team, you’ll fuel the success of Resolver by developing profitable B2B partnerships that drive software usage, generate business opportunities, and enable us to collect market feedback.
Project Delivery (90%)
Establishing a shared vision of success across all project stakeholders, securing a collective understanding of project scope, delivery approach, task ownership, and work outputs
Managing customer expectations while enabling the project team to surpass them
Leading regular project discussions with customers and project teams to review work plans, risks, actions, issues, and decisions; driving projects to completion and minimizing “time to value”
Controlling and communicating project scope, schedule, budget, and risk to all stakeholders
Maintaining a healthy project margin and ensuring timely project invoicing
Collecting customer and peer feedback to gauge project success and institutionalize lessons learned
Cultivating customer references and identifying upsell opportunities
Participating in the development and refinement of a “fit for purpose” project delivery methodology that encourages consistency, quality, and timeliness of project delivery
Measures of success: billable utilization, project margin, customer feedback (references, NPS, upsell), peer feedback
Presales Support (10%)
Leading discovery sessions and/or workshops to capture project success factors and define project scope
Identifying and recommending a project delivery approach based on the customer’s unique needs
Determining the activities required to deliver the project scope and producing associated work estimates
Documenting the project scope and work estimates in the form of a Statement of Work
Communicating the project scope and work estimates to Sales, customers, and project team members
Developing processes and tools that reduce the amount of time required to produce estimates and contracts
Measures of success: participation in presales activities, timely and accurate work estimates, timely and accurate statements of work, development of estimation processes and tools.
Bachelor’s degree or College Diploma in Computer Science/Information Systems or equivalent
3+ years of prior experience in Project Management delivering enterprise-wide COTS (Commercial-off-the-Shelf) solutions
Experience with Visio, MS Project, MS Office, and CRM’s such as Salesforce
Experience creating and securing Statements of Work and project Change Orders
Experience working in an ambitious small to midsize software company is an asset
