Job Title: Junior Analyst
Department: Finance
Reporting to: Director, Finance
Summary: This position is primarily responsible for providing support to the finance department by managing daily accounting tasks.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist Accounts Payable personnel in any tasks they may require help completing
- Reconcile payroll documents to ensure all relevant documents are on hand before payroll is processed
- Audit payroll folders to ensure no documents have been missed or are incomplete
- Manage accounts receivable & create reports related to AR
- Manage accounts receivable system (Hermes) and related aging for multiple locations & actively collect on delinquent accounts
- Communicate with customers regarding accounts receivable issues
- Perform accounts payable reconciliations when required
- Assist with reviewing of expenses, revenue and payroll records as assigned
- Update financial data in databases to ensure that information will be accurate and immediately available when needed
- Assist senior accountants in preparation of month end reports
- Assist with other accounting projects as required
- Create and update department procedures as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned
Required Skills:
- 2+ years of accounting experience
- Education in accounting is preferred
- Expertise in excel required
- Collections & accounts payable experience a plus
- Excellent communication, problem solving and analytical skills
- Ability to plan, prioritize and complete assignments within critical deadlines
