Responsibilities

  • Play a key role in ensuring that administrative strategies are implemented and critical deadlines are met and maintain up-to-date knowledge of admission policies in order to ensure accuracy and transparency of the admission process.
  • Demonstrate the entire admissions process according to McDonald International Academy policies and procedures. Follow all local, provincial, and McDonald International Academy guidelines as they apply to student admissions.
  • Analyze statistical school application data from the point of application to fee payment as a contribution to the enrolment management process.
  • Perform follow-up tasks to gather further information, complete record-keeping and provide reports to the management team.
  • Participate in ensuring the smooth functioning of the administrative team. Recommend procedural changes to improve the effective functioning of the unit.
  • Supervise administrative assistants to ensure all documents/records of the students are kept up to date and maintained in an orderly manner at the completion of the academic year.
  • Utilize and review school materials regularly such as academic calendar, website and brochures, newsletters, OUAC information to ensure that all information given is as up-to-date and as current as possible.
  • Assist with the accounting team to compile the operating budget and ensure it stays in control of expenditure.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Requirements:

  • Proven 1+ year work experience as an Administrative Officer, Administrator or similar role.
  • Solid knowledge of school application procedures.
  • Experience with office management software like MS Office (MS Excel and MS Word, specifically).
  • Strong organization skills with a problem-solving attitude.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Some Saturdays required for Admissions events.
  • Education:

    Bachelor’s Degree (Required)

    Language:

    Effective English skills both written and verbal
