The Team
The Enterprise Compliance and Regulatory Systems team is accountable for developing and supporting a number of compliance and risk management related tools and reporting systems within the Bank. The team is seeking a Data Engineer to integrate data from source systems and to develop dashboards and reports for users. The incumbent will be joining a team of solution developers and architects that focus on systems utilized in compliance and risk management.
Some of the Key Accountabilities include:
Developing SQL queries / ETL packages using T-SQL and SSIS to ingest data from source systems to integrate with SQL Server data warehouse
Design and develop physical data model structures in SQL Server
Design and development of high-quality dashboards / reports using tools like Power BI, SSRS, Excel/PowerPivot and Tableau. Develop custom reports, analytics and KPIs for the Business
Configure and enhance SharePoint Online portals for content management/ document management reports with access controls to support data ingestion
Design and enhance ETL framework to support data ingestion and integration to dimensional data model
Integrate systems via REST API, database views, SharePoint lists, sFTP etc
Collecting business requirements / user stories from clients
Complete testing to ensure high quality product for clients
Developing SQL views to enable data consumers to read data from data warehouse
Documenting databases, data process flows and maintain data dictionaries, support and onboarding procedures
Troubleshoot and resolve database and application defects in a timely manner with consultation with internal and external groups as needed
Train and assist users at all levels
What You Will Bring to Succeed:
Experience with Microsoft BI stack SQL Server, T-SQL, SSRS, MS SQL Enterprise Manager etc.
Experience in developing BI reports and completing ad hoc queries and data analysis required
Expertise with data visualization / BI tools eg: Power BI, SSRS required.
Knowledge of configuring SharePoint Online for hosting data and reporting solutions
Clear communication and interpersonal skills required
Attention to detail and feedback from clients on dashboards and reports must be completed rapidly
Experience developing code to consume REST API services and integrating systems with sftp a plus
Experience in design and development of dimensional data model aligning to Kimball approach a plus
Experience with MS Azure / SQL Server MI / Machine Learning services a plus
Experience with SDLC methodologies required eg. Agile / Waterfall
Experience with databases, dimensional data modeling design
Experience with data warehouse, ETL, SSIS, SSAS/cubes a plus
Experience integrating systems with COTS Commercial Off The Shelf software packages a plus
Experience with implementing DevOps / CIAD a plus
Experience with EDL / Hadoop / Hive / Jupyter Notebooks / Tableau a plus
Experience with web development (in ASP.NET MVC / C#) a plus
Knowledge on Banking / Risk related systems is a plus
