Purpose:
Data Quality, part of Data Office, is responsible to promote and govern all Data Quality operations within Scotiabank. Data Quality operations includes, Data Quality (DQ), Data Quality Issue Management (DQIM), Visualizations and Data Profiling. This position will be mainly responsible to support the Data Quality operations with necessary support for others streams of Data Quality teams initiatives
Accountabilities:
Support Chief Data Office (CDO) in establishing DQ and DQIM initiatives
Provide consultation and guidance to project by conducting and coordinating live demos, solutioning and walkthroughs of current tools and process
Provide analysis to project teams in terms of work effort and budget estimation
Review all relevant project artefacts such as BRD and SLA to ensure adherence to Data Management Standards set forth by the Data Quality, Data Office team
Coordinate and manage Release Management process for all existing projects
Liaise with Global Tech Support (GTS) team to ensure smooth code promotion for all existing projects
Create/update documents for all prospective/existing initiatives and process undertaken by Data Quality, Data Office team
Support CDO teams in creating roadmaps for all prospective DQ and DQIM projects and initiatives
Provide support for all Data Quality, Data Office initiatives
Requirements & Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in managing or working in a project team
Through understanding of SDLC
Understanding of basic Data Governance Framework and Data Quality operations
Experienced with drafting project artefacts such as BRD and SLA
Previous experience with using Jira and Confluence
Experienced with using complex Excel functions and Visio
Experience with Collibra and SQL is preferred
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Commerce, Engineering and relevant fields
Strong knowledge in SDLC, previous project related experience is a must
Good understanding of Data Governance and Data Quality
Demonstrated skills in communicating with multiple stakeholder including Senior Managements
Abilities to explain complex ideas in laymen terms
Successful candidate will demonstrate strong teamwork capabilities; able to coordinate with multiple teams with different priorates
